TRANQUILISING - SEDATIVE - ATARAXIC

Presentation
Dosing syringe for 30 mL.
Composition
Each mL contains:
Acepromazine Maleate 12 mg.
Excipients qs 1 mL.
Indications
Provides a beneficial "calming" effect during handling, transport and confinement. Reduces excitability, while preserving coordination and awareness of the environment.
It can be used as:
- An aid in the training of horses.
- To calm nervous horses and reduce stress (relieves whipping, lameness and twitching).
- In minor surgical procedures in which anesthesia is not required.
- As a pre-anaesthetic, to increase the action and allow a smooth induction and recovery.
- In non-surgical procedures such as footwear and dentistry.
- Management of mares during reproduction.
- Horses that have wounds that cannot heal due to constant irritation (biting, licking, etc.)
- After major surgery to reduce stress.
- In the treatment of colic.
Horse Dosage
: 5 - 10 mL for every 450 kg of body weight. Corresponding to 0.13 mg - 0.26 mg of Acepromazine Maleate per kg of weight.
Gelding or Stallions: Use the lowest recommended dosage.
