Dexamethasone 2.50 mg

Indications
It is mainly indicated in the case of acute allergic or inflammatory reactions in which an immediate hormonal response is necessary. In equines it is indicated in most inflammatory processes that affect training horses such as rheumatism, bursitis, carpitis, myositis, dislocations, infosura, and in general all kinds of inflammations that interest the joints and accessory structures. Eliminates pain and provides fast functional establishment. In cases of anaphylactic and traumatic shock, in cattle it is used in acetonemia or ketosis, in case of snake bites, photosensitivity and in rheumatic, allergic and dermatological diseases. Also, as an aid in the treatment of mastitis and metritis. In small animals it is used for the treatment of skin diseases, exemas, dermatitis, dermatosis and itching. Also, in inflammations of the joints and accessory structures such as arthritis, arthrosis, tendinitis, bursitis, synovitis, etc.

Dosage
The dose varies according to the severity of the condition, the duration of treatment, and the patient's tolerance to the steroid.
Equines:
2 - 5 ml.
Cattle:
5 - 10 ml.
Dogs and cats:
0.1 - 0.25 ml.
Repeat the dose whenever necessary.
Withdrawal period: Do not use meat from treated animals for human consumption until 8 days after the last treatment. Do not use milk from treated animals for human consumption and the dairy industry until 3 days (6 milking) have elapsed since the last application.
Contraindications: Its use in females in an advanced state of pregnancy can induce labor. In equines lethargy or drowsiness may appear when treated with doses higher than 5 mg but disappear after 24 hours.
