2. QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE COMPOSITION OF THE ACTIVE SUBSTANCE(S)
Dextran and iron (III) complex 10 g/100 ml
3. TREATMENT INDICATIONS
Prevention and treatment of iron deficiency anemia in piglets and calves.
4. CONTRAINDICATIONS
Hypersensitivity to iron dextran, renal failure, liver dysfunction, anemia caused by factors other than iron deficiency.
5. SIDE EFFECTS
Piglets may occasionally experience symptoms of anaphylactic shock and, in extreme cases, death.
6. TARGET ANIMAL SPECIES
Pig, cattle.
7. DOSAGE AND ROUTE(S) OF ADMINISTRATION
Administer intramuscularly in the femoral region or intraperitoneally (which is recommended in piglets) in doses:
Piglets :
Preventive:
2 ml/head (equivalent to 200 mg of iron) on the 4th day of life. If necessary, repeat after 3 weeks.
Therapeutically:
2 ml/piece (equivalent to 200 mg of iron) immediately after the onset of symptoms of anemia. In severe cases, double the dose or repeat the administration after 10-14 days.
Calves :
5 ml/head (equivalent to 500 mg of iron).
8. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR CORRECT ADMINISTRATION

Edible tissues – zero days.
10. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR STORAGE
AND TRANSPORT
Store below 25°C.
Keep out of the reach and sight of children.
Do not use after the expiration date stated on the label.
11. SPECIAL WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS, IF NECESSARY
The preparation should not be administered together with tetracyclines and chelating compounds, because iron salts may form sparingly soluble complexes with them, preventing their absorption.
Symptoms of overdose include pallor and erosions of the mucous membranes, dark stools, bloody diarrhea, tachycardia, hypotension, shock symptoms, shortness of breath, and apathy. In cases of overdose, iron chelating agents should be administered.
12. SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR THE DISPOSAL OF UNUSED PRODUCT OR WASTE MATERIALS, IF ANY
Medicines should not be disposed of via wastewater or garbage.
