Galmedic - Spain

History

In 1987 a team of three professionals from the sector decided to become independent from the company they worked for and to found Galmedic.

Their objectives were:

1. 1. To create a new concept of proximity distributor for scientific and hospital material.
2. 2. Provide it with a technical service, a warehouse and its own distribution to be able to provide an agile and flexible service.

• 3. With highly qualified personnel to answer the technical questions that clients need to solve.
• 4. Restricted to the territory of Galicia.

They settled in a small premises on Calle San Pedro de Visma (A Coruña), until in 2015 they moved to the Polígono de Pocomaco.

In August 2018, due to lack of succession and due to the technological challenges Galmedic faced, the owner decided to sell the company to the SOLQUIM group.

Today Galmedic is made up of a team of 10 professionals (chemists, biologists, economists) prepared to give continuity to the initial concept of distributor, but with new tools that allow it to provide its services, not only in Galicia, but also in the rest of the Spanish territory.
