Hydrasol Lamons
contains the necessary ingredients to ensure the proper regulation of the water and electrolyte balance in the organism.
This activity is linked to the presence of Chloride, Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium. It also contains citrate and acetate, which are capable of regulating de acid-base balance in the blood.
The presence of Calcium and Magnesium guarantees the necessary nervous and muscular tone for a complete recuperation, as well as the balance of these minerals in lactating and growing animals.
On the other hand, the glucose provided is an auxiliary energy source.
Indications:
Hydrasol Lamons is used as a supplementary source of electrolytes, buffer substances and energy.
This intake is necessary in the following cases:
Generally, in all species, to provide electrolytes that allow coping with the stress associated to transportation, heat or vaccination. Neonatal diarrhea, which causes loss of electrolytes, acid- base imbalance and dehydration, can lead to animal mortality.
In case of diseases that involve fever and/or diarrhea, toxic mastitis, vicious appetite in ruminants or cannibalism in birds that, in order to be corrected, require rehydration therapy or the supplementation of electrolytes.
After farrowing, which leads invariably to fluid loss, fatigue and refusing to drink or eat.
Lactating animals that need a higher intake of water to achieve better performances and facilitate milk discharge, preventing ketosis, hypocalcemia and hypomagnesaemia.
Laying animals, in order to increase fluid and electrolyte intake, including calcium and magnesium, compensating losses and preventing problems associated to pecking, which can lead to canibalism.

Dosis
DOSAGE TO BE INCORPORATED IN FEED:
The quantity to be administered must be adjusted to the animal’s needs.
0,5 mL/Litre of drinking water (or per 10 Kg LW/day), is sufficient to guarantee the intake of fluids and mineral salts.
Administer 1-2 mL/Litre of drinking water (or per 10 Kg LW/day), in case of risk of dehydration with loss of electrolytes.
Increase the dosage in 5-10 mL/Litres of drinking water (or per 10 Kg LW/day), during 1 to 7 days, in case of a higher risk of dehydration or if an alteration in the hydric and electrolytic balance is detected.
Recommended times for administration:
Transportation:
Begin the administration 3 days before transportation and maintain it, if deemed necessary, 1 or 2 days after reaching the destination.
Vaccination:
Begin the administration 1 day before and maintain it for the following 3 days.
Hot periods:
During the entire period, adjusting the dosage to the level of risk.
Parto:
Si es posible, iniciar la administración 1-2 días antes del parto y continuar durante 3-5 días después del mismo.
Farrowing: If possible, begin the administration 1- 2 days before parturition, and continue for the following 3-5 days.
Lactation:
Begin 15 days after farrowing so as to facilitate the discharge of milk and the maintenance of the calcium and magnesium balance. After these 15 days, administer periodically for 1 to 7 days according to the animal’s needs.
Laying:
At the beginning of the laying period, administer for 15 days, afterwards administer periodically for 1 to 7 days according the bird’s needs or permanently at the lowest dosage.
Disease presenting with dehydration or electrolytic imbalance:
Administer throughout the whole period, adjusting the dosage to the severity of the clinical picture. The drinking water added with Hydrasol Lamons must be renewed on a daily basis.
