COMPOSITION :
1 ml contains:
Meloxicam 5 mg
Ethanol, anhydrous 150 mg
Exp.qs 1 ml
INDICATION :
Loxic for dog is the latest non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, with very effective anti-inflammatory, anti-secretory, analgesic and antipyretic effects. Used in the following cases:
Dogs:
Treatment of inflammation, bone and joint pain and pain relief, inflammation after surgery. Support treatment in respiratory tract infections, pneumonia.
Cats:
Used for postoperative pain relief.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Do not use in pregnant or lactating animals.
Do not use for animals with inflammation, gastrointestinal bleeding, hepatitis, kidney failure, heart failure.
Do not use for animals sensitive to any ingredients of the drug.
Do not use on dogs or cats under 6 weeks of age or cats weighing less than 2 kg.
DOSAGE :
Dog:
- Treatment of osteoarthritis:
Subcutaneous injection, single dose 0.4 ml/10 kg body weight.
- Postoperative pain relief:
Intravenous or subcutaneous injection, a single dose of 0.4 ml/10 kg body weight before surgery (at the time of anesthesia or sedation).
- Support treatment of pneumonia, respiratory tract infections:
Subcutaneous injection, single dose of 0.4 ml/10 kg body weight. If necessary, a second dose can be injected after 24 hours.
Cat:
Postoperative analgesia:
subcutaneous injection, a single dose of 0.06 ml/kg body weight before surgery (at the time of anesthesia or sedation). Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Note:
- Do not exceed recommended dose.
- For cats, follow-up treatment with oral doses containing Meloxicam or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs should not be performed because they are not safe.
