Registration and electronic tagging (microchipping) of camels competing in the Al-Tahaddi Festival for Mafarid – “Mokhallaft Al-Hagaoui” have begun today at Lbusayyir, Al Shahaniya, marking the start of the 2025–2026 camel season organized by the Qatar Camel Mazayen Club.
Tagging will continue until November 8, ahead of the festival’s competitions, which are scheduled from November 5 to 10. The process encompasses various camel categories, including Magateer, Asayel, Mujahim, and Hybrid Asayel.
As a mandatory participation step, tagging ensures smooth organization and accurate tracking.
The festival will feature 21 rounds across five main categories, offering 210 prizes, with awards reaching QAR 100,000 for first place, and five cars dedicated to the winners of the international rounds.
A large turnout of camel owners from Qatar and GCC countries is expected, following the strong success of last year’s edition.
